Cursed Band Names is a 100% human-curated library.

Unlike a standard AI band name generator that randomly mashes words together, all of the many thousands of entries in our Summoning Pool were submitted by real people.

This is to ensure that the “band names” (in inverted commas) are genuinely funny, weird, or cursed in a way that algorithms and robots can't replicate.

Are these meant to be funny band names or serious ideas?

We specialize in collecting funny band names and "so bad it's good" aesthetics. However, many users summon names that are legitimately cool for Punk, Emo, or Psychedelic Rock projects.

The "Cursed" label is subjective—what looks like a joke to one person might be the perfect aesthetic band name for another.

How do I submit an idea to the Summoning Pool?

Click the "SUBMIT YOUR NAME" button above. All submissions are reviewed by human moderators to ensure they meet our standards (i.e., they are sufficiently cursed/funny and not too offensive). This keeps our library high-quality compared to automated band name generators.

Does the library include one-word or aesthetic names?

Yes. The library includes everything from punchy one-word band names to elaborate, sentence-long titles. Whether you want a short, memorable band name or a long, emo-style track title, the randomizer pulls from the entire spectrum of user submissions.

Who owns the rights to these names?

Names submitted to the pool become part of the Cursed Band Names common library.
